>>>Final Round & Tournament results have been posted<<<

News: Mar 20, 2016 :bulletblack: GeoCaecias

Two years and seven months ago, 1pieceluver had the idea for this tournament. After much blood, sweat, and toil, Divine-Inferno-OCT is finally at an end. I want to thank everyone who was a part of making this tournament possible, from my faithful co-judge Gregor-Lives, to the prize donors, and to all the competitors. Thanks for helping to bringing this tournament to the true end of the road.

There are a few housekeeping tasks yet to be taken care of.
  1. Prizes. I will be contacting prize donors within the next few hours to alert them that the tournament is at an end and provide official documentation regarding the winners.
  2. Tournament Summary. Over the next week or so, I will write up a complete summary of the tournament to remain on the front page for posterity.
  3. Next Steps. There will not be a sequel to DI-OCT. However, there was some talk of forming an RP group based around a similar concept. I will be giving this some thought. Depending on my schedule and others' interest, it may be a possibility. So if there is anyone who would be interested in such a thing or would be willing to offer their thoughts, I'm all ears.

Once again, thanks to everyone who participated in this tournament. It's hard to believe we're at an end.

The final round is officially at an end. Thanks to our resilient and determined competitors, who have stuck it out in this competition for so long and to the spectators who remained to watch. :D The judges have been solicited to provide critiques and judgments on the final round. Results will be posted Sunday March 20, 2016.

We are in the final hour of the final round. So far, one competitor's entry is complete, and one is approaching completion. The end is nigh, everyone.

Today is the final day of the final round. Can you feel the tension? The excitement? I almost can't handle it. Both competitors have been steadily posting their entries, and today, it all ends.

Let the final countdown begin.

Hello folks. In an unprecedented move, I've given the competitors another 5 days to complete their entries, making the new deadline March 1, 2016. This will be the last time the deadline moves, so come Hell (which is likely) or high water, March 1st will be the end of the final round.

Keep your eyes open for the competitors' submissions. :evillaugh:

Hi everybody! Though I haven't been in the public view much this month, the two finalists have been in contact with me. Both of them have requested a deadline extension, and as 50% of the competitors have provided me with proof of their labors.

As such, I will be moving the deadline from Feb 6 to February 25, 2016. This will give the finalists an additional 2.5 weeks to work on their entries.

Welcome to the New Year. The final round of DI-OCT will begin later today. We're so close, everyone!

:firelite-photo: News: Dec 28, 2015 :bulletblack: GeoCaecias

Hey everyone.

I'm so sorry for the spotty communication. As I'm sure many of you can empathize, the holiday season has been sort of taxing on the judges' ability to get anything done. I have still at this point not heard from one of my judges at all. We may move forward without this individual, which means competitors may only get 2 critiques on their Round 3 entries

Critiques will be posted starting today, and will continue to be posted through tomorrow. R3 results will be up on December 29. Because I don't want the New Year holiday to interfere with your ability to compete, Round 4 will begin January 1, 2016.

Hope you all have had a relaxing break from competition, and area ready for the final round. :evillaugh:

Well, it took us a while, but we finally made it through round 3. I will allow a 12-hour grace period for competitors to tweak their entries if they wish. At noon EST on Dec 8 (today!), the judging period will officially begin. Until then, competitors, take a rest. You earned it. :>

:firelite-photo: News: Dec 7, 2015 :bulletblack: GeoCaecias

We are in the 11th hour now. Just sixty minutes until round 3 ends! Get those entries in, semi-finalists. :)

And now, we approach the final countdown. We are 25 hours away from the Round 3 deadline. Whatever comes next, well, that's up to you.

Just as a reminder, we'll be taking a slightly longer judging period after this round to allow our judges plenty of time to address your judging concerns. We are in the home stretch!

Happy Black Friday (for those of you who shop)! I've heard from 50% of competitors who've requested an extension. I was hoping to hear from everyone to gauge how much time you all needed. :( Since I don't want the tournament to lag too long, I will extend the Round 3 deadline by 10 days. This gives you until midnight on December 7, as the 7th becomes the 8th. The new deadline will soon be in the R3 journal.
